the new refs will be taking the field tonight as the ravens host the browns in baltimore. then tomorrow and saturday, officials will meet and vote on the eight-year collective bargaining agreement that will take the refs through the 2019 nfl season. the team owners and goodell finally caving in to refs' demand for more money. currently they make $149,000 a year. once the 2013 season starts, they'll be bumped up to $173,000. finally, their salaries will cap out in the 2019 season at $205,000. the benefit and pension plans remains the same through the 2016 season. at that point, it will be frozen. nfl commissioner roger goodell said this of the deal.
